This ward was the last occupied place in the hospital. It was used as a chemical dependency (drug and alcohol) inpatient program. It seems that they were allowed to paint the walls before they abandoned it… I go back and forth, thinking it is a shame and thinking it is a little cool.
The school (hospital) campus was expansive.
North of the assembly complex is a storage network of earthen and concrete bunkers.
The basement held a makeshift chapel.
Hiking into the ghost town with enough gear to live there for a few days, if we wanted.
Bells are highly symbolic, being used from everything from calling worshipers in the morning to exorcising demons at night.
