This is my favorite wallpaper in the whole hotel.
The chief engineer had many phones. It’s my guess one connects to the pilot house and the other connects to the emergency steerage station that’s mid-deck.
I am sure even the workers had trouble remembering which pillar hid the phone. Note the “ON” written on the electrical socket, too.
The chalkboard in the filtering plant reminds new visitors of the last day.
